O2 Arena is one of the largest multipurpose arenas in Europe. It is home to HC Sparta Prague of the Czech Extraliga and was built for Ice Hockey World Championships in 2004. The arena is located in northeastern part of Prague, Czech Republic, and can host 19,000 spectators with floor space 35,000 m² divided to six floor levels. Arena provides parking spaces for 280 vehicles. The construction work started in 2002 and completed just in time for the World Championships. Since then the arena has hosted hundreds of smaller and big scale sport and cultural events.

Security is of high importance for such a large arena, so an excellent and reliable access control solution is essential. With the advanced technology and high stability of the products, Jieshun stood out from many competitors to provide the end-to-end solution. Jieshun provided two kinds of tripod turnstiles for O2 Arena. The turnstile also integrated a contactless reader and a QR-code scanner to support various identity credentials. The system has helped the arena significantly improve the security level and traffic efficiency.
