The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) is a non-profit private liberal-arts-oriented university in Hong Kong, offering a wide range of undergraduate and taught postgraduate degree programmes.

One of the significant academic buildings on campus is the S H Ho Academic Building, which was inaugurated on 17th September 2012. It attained the Final Platinum rating of BEAM Plus New Buildings V1.1 certification awarded by the Hong Kong Green Building Council and the Indoor Air Quality Certificate (Excellent Class) issued by the Environmental Protection Department.

In 2017, HSUHK collaborated with JIESHUN to modernize the access control system of the S H Ho Academic Building, and JIESHUN provided a range of advanced pedestrian gates. These gates excel in enforcing strict access control measures, significantly enhancing the overall security level of the building by effectively regulating entry and exit. Furthermore, the pedestrian gates have been seamlessly integrated with the campus access control system, allowing authorized individuals to conveniently pass through the gates using their IC cards.

During periods of high foot traffic, such as the beginning of each semester or special events, the pedestrian gates play a vital role in managing the flow of students, staff, and visitors. By preventing overcrowding and ensuring a controlled environment, these gates contribute to the overall safety and security of the building.
