Recently, the JIESHUN Leshan Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (hereinafter referred to as the “Foundation”) successfully concluded its "Caring Study Desks" and "Books for Schools" donation initiatives before the Chinese New Year, bringing warmth and educational support to children in mountainous regions.

Delivering Hope Through Study Desks

Despite the winding and rugged mountain roads, the Foundation’s commitment to delivering love and support remained unwavering. With the strong backing of the Foundation's chairman and board members, the "Caring Study Desks" team, in collaboration with local volunteers in Yunnan, successfully delivered over 900 brand-new sets of desks and chairs to students in several rural primary schools.

To provide children with a more conducive learning environment, the Foundation carefully selected full sets of study furniture and distributed them on the school playground. At the donation site, a little girl gently touched her new desk and whispered to her mother, "I finally have my own desk." Her beaming smile brought a touch of warmth to the winter day.

Bringing the Joy of Reading to Schools

At the same time, the "Books for Schools" initiative was in full swing. The Foundation donated 6,860 carefully selected books to multiple primary schools and kindergartens in Guizhou Province. These books covered a wide range of subjects, including science, literature, and history, aiming to expand the students' knowledge and inspire their curiosity.

At one of the schools, as newly donated books were neatly arranged in the library corner, students’ eyes lit up with excitement and eagerness to learn. For many, education is the only pathway out of the mountains, and these books represent a gateway to a brighter future.

"Your generous donation has greatly improved our school's educational resources. It plays a crucial role in enriching students' extracurricular activities and fostering their all-round development," said one of the teachers. The school staff expressed their deep gratitude and vowed to make the most of these resources, using education as a means to give back to society’s kindness and support.
